bold depth revealing rich underlying color

Sweeping lines, rhythmic gestures and rich expressive color convey a visual sensation and a tactile sensuality, lyrical and expressionist in quality. Leaning to the figurative and the richness of nature – earth, wind and water, there is also physicality in these dense surfaces, where the profusion of brush strokes work fluidly giving the underlying color layers intensity and depth. The effect is luminous and translucent, like deep woods or deep waters vibrating with a myriad of reflections. Opulent color and dynamic strokes demonstrate the artist’s continual exploration and how variations and complexity of line and color provoke and powers reaction and emotion. Intuitive and spontaneous, these works are transformations of nature, improvisational panoramas the artist has cleverly translated bursting with luminosity and grandeur.
